Well, while July 1st comes to a close (central time, anyhow) and I can’t help but feel…well, betrayed.  Or maybe just bored.  Joey let me down today and not only did he not make any stupid decisions but… none at all.

It’s true, we didn’t pick up Sean Avery again – nor did we fill any needs.  In fact the only things to come out Dallas was Begin signing with the Bruins from his UFA status for a year and a message from the new GM saying he’d be waiting for Gustavsson’s decision rather than taking the second door and picking one of the willing free agent goalies looking for work.  Oh and that rumor that we were in the race for Scuderi

Through the day we saw some very prominent goalies take new jobs elsewhere.  While I didn’t expect to see a Bulin Wall come our way to take a seat behind Turco – my top prospect Clemmenson was snagged pretty quickly.  But, that’s just complaining for the fun of it – I was hoping we’d wait the kid out, he has some decent promise and what can I say, the media attention that’s surrounded him since he came into the scene is titilating.  In fact, all kidding aside – waiting is waiting.  There are plenty of good free agents still unsigned which bodes well for us Stars fans.

I will spend most of tomorrow covering the trades through my twitter and announcing Stars news on the blog, so lets hope something intense happens – or doesn’t?  Whichever.  Either way if you don’t know – I will do my best to make a note of every transaction that happens as I did today through the Twitter, so if you’re interested either check in here for a slightly delayed Twitter relay on the right hand side of the blog or go there directly and see it as it happens:  http://twitter.com/DSAssertion

Anyway…the TDSA festivities will start when I wake up.  I’m lazy.  At the end of the night tomorrow, I’ll hopefully get around to writing a nice long post covering the ongoings of the last week.  So, there you go.
